KATMANDU, Nepal, October 1.— As part of the Global Event in Solidarity with the Cuban Five and against Terrorism, the Nepal-Cuba Solidarity Committee (CSNC) held a march in Katmandu. Banners and placards were raised in the heart of the city in support of the Cuban Five and to demand an immediate stop to the unjust economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.

The historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, shared a telephone conversation with young members of the 70th Anniversary Contingent, which is commemorating Fidel’s arrival to the University of Havana in 1945 with a journey across the country, to visit a number of historic sites and climb the island’s highest peak.
Also participating in the meeting were Mikhail L. Kamynin, Russian ambassador in Cuba, and Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, a Council of Ministers vice president and Minister of Economy and Planning
The new group of Cuban doctors will be working in the historic townships of Soweto and Alexandra, two areas with strong links to the anti-apartheid struggle
The 7th Cuban Congress on Sex Education, Orientation and Therapy will discuss issues such as public policies, the promotion of sexual health and rights, social communication and comprehensive sex education for children, adolescents, young people and those with learning difficulties
