OFFICIAL VOICE OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF CUBA CENTRAL COMMITTEE

José Ramón Machado Ventura, a vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers, reviewed progress being made on scheduled plantings of rice, fruit, and vegetables, during a tour today, September 9, of agricultural sites in the province of Mayabeque, and called for greater and more regular deliveries to markets in Havana and local towns.

He emphasized that agricultural producers now have more resources available, and if these are well used, yields should increase.

Also participating in the tour were Juan Miguel García, first Party secretary in Mayabeque, and Gustavo Rodríguez Rollero, minister of Agriculture.
