A total of 27 titles on India and it’s literature will be presented at the 24th edition of the Havana International Book Fair 2015, which will be inaugurated on February 12 at the Fortress of San Carlos de la Cabaña and conclude on the 22nd of this month, after which it will travel across the rest of the island until April. Juan Rodríguez, vice president of the Cuban Book Institute (ICL), informed of details of the event at a press conference held yesterday.

The official, who was accompanied by Ravinder Narang, Second Secretary of the Embassy of India in Cuba; Zuleika Romay Guerra, president of the ICL, and Eduardo Fernández, director of the Fair, among other members of the organizing committee, noted the commendable efforts of the workers of the Cuban printing trades, who have worked tireless to ensure that five million copies of more than 2,000 titles will be available to the crowds attending the renowned cultural event. Together with a representative sample of Indian culture, which includes cinema, crafts, theater, yoga, dance, and literature, 16 Indian publishing houses will present books, as part of the extensive academic and cultural program throughout the fair.
