Cuba's Minister of Tourism, Juan Carlos García Granda, informed on his social networks that eVisaCuba, the new electronic visa platform that speeds up and simplifies the visa application and management processes, in a secure way, is already active.
Applicants will be able to start the process virtually, from any device connected to the Internet, and at any time of the day, eliminating the need for additional physical documents.
From the portal (evisacuba.cu) you can apply for a tourist visa directly at the consulates, and at the end of the application, you will be sent by email the details of your visa, in addition to check the status and validity of the visa.
For the process, it is necessary to have a valid passport and email, and the response will be received within 72 working hours.
Upon entering the form, you will be asked to specify the country and consulate where you will carry out the procedure, the application will show the cost of the service and the contact information at that consulate, and you must specify the payment method to be used among those available on the web.
The process allows you to add other procedures to your application, up to a maximum of ten, which offers the possibility of not having to repeat the process in case you require extra visas for friends or relatives.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "this initiative seeks to strengthen security and efficiency in all stages of the tourist visa process, from the initial application to border control. With Evisa, Cuba is moving towards the implementation of a more modern consular system adapted to current needs."
