
His visit is another expression that Cuba and China are experiencing, on a daily basis, an important relationship between our parties, governments and peoples, said the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, upon receiving comrade Ying Yong, general prosecutor and secretary of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, member of the Political and Legal Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
It is, Diaz-Canel added, an expression of the relevant relations that our procuratorates have and a continuity of the excellent ties between our countries, which are special, trusting, and strategic.
"Relations, he added, that today have much to do with the way in which the President and General Secretary of the Party, Xi Jinping, has been sensitized to Cuba's situation, by his enormous understanding, willingness and disposition to work together."
He highlighted the bilateral ties, the fact that both nations are building a community of shared future, and praised the systematic exchanges of high-level delegations.
The President commented to comrade Ying Yong that as part of these visits, an important comprehensive emergency aid from China to Cuba was reviewed and finalized, a gesture -he said- that we are grateful for.
Díaz-Canel also highlighted the shipment of a comprehensive package of parts and resources for the recovery of the National Electric System.
The Cuban President highlighted the important consensus reached with President Xi Jinping, with whom he met last May in Moscow, during the commemorations for the 80th Anniversary of the Victory over Fascism, he recalled.
The president thanked the People's Republic of China for the substantive and forceful support it has always given Cuba in the fight against the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the US government and against the inclusion of the island in the spurious list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism, while expressing the island's support for the principle of a single China and condemnation of interference in the internal affairs of the brother country.
In his meeting with Mr. Ying Yong, held yesterday afternoon at the Convention Palace and attended by Yamila Peña Ojeda, Attorney General of the Republic, the Cuban President thanked the distinguished visitor for his institution's support to the formation and training of Cuban prosecutors.
Ying Yong thanked Díaz-Canel for the reception, and commented that his visit also reciprocates the stay in China, last year, of Yamila Peña Ojeda.
The meeting was attended by Hua Xin, Chinese Ambassador to Cuba, and Si Xialian, Chief Prosecutor of Chongqing Province, among other officials; Alina Montesino Li, Deputy Prosecutor of the Republic; Patricia María Rizo Cabrera, Chief Prosecutor of the Directorate of Legal Cooperation and International Relations of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic, and Minrex officials.
