The government of the Republic of Türkiye donated to Cuba 17 compact photovoltaic solar modules equipped with batteries, with a total power of 12,600 watts, which will be installed in Artemisa and Guantánamo, the territories most affected by the most recent hurricanes, informed yesterday Oscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga, Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (Mincex).
In a simple act of gratitude, at the Mincex, Pérez-Oliva said that these generators will increase the safety of our population in the face of extreme events and, of course, contribute to the vitality of facilities of economic and social importance.

Vehbi Esgel Etensel, said that this donation provides aid to the victims of natural catastrophes, in addition to supporting preparations for the coming hurricane season.
He explained that the donation is possible thanks to the Türkiye Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, AFAD (Turkish acronym), which sent a sum of 20,000 dollars, with which they bought this equipment, to donate it to the Cuban side.
He detailed that, of the 17 generators, two have batteries with a capacity of 1,800 watts, and each kit is equipped with 555 watt solar panels. The other 15 have batteries with a capacity of 600 watts and two solar panels of 200 watts.
