The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, held a friendly meeting on Tuesday afternoon with the Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), Rander Peña Ramírez, on an official visit to Cuba.
He has Cuba's full support to carry out his functions, the Head of State assured his interlocutor, appointed last June 12 at the head of the Alliance by the Heads of State and Government of the member countries of the integration mechanism.
"We ratify our unconditional support to the Bolivarian Revolution," said the dignitary, while sending a strong embrace to his brother, the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros.
The distinguished visitor -also Venezuelan Vice-Chancellor for Latin America- thanked for the trust placed in him to assume the responsibility, and asserted that "we will fulfill our task with firmness, will and without rest".
According to the Minrex, among the objectives of the visit is the follow-up of the implementation of the ALBA-TCP Strategic Agenda 2030, aimed at "giving an extraordinary impulse" to the process of integral consolidation of the Alliance in the years to come and in the current complicated international context.
Likewise, the text refers that among the most significant issues on the agenda are those associated with the areas of food, tourism, Artificial Intelligence and others.
