The U.S. government's escalating warmongering against Venezuela threatens not only that nation's sovereignty, but also peace and security in Latin America and the Caribbean. Cuba has denounced this in multiple forums, aware of the urgency of stopping such aggression and reaffirming its unwavering solidarity with the Venezuelan people and government.

In this regard, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlighted in x that the UN Security Council meeting held this week showed the serious concerns of the international community about the repeated violations of international law and the law of the sea by the US, and about the extrajudicial executions and murders carried out by its military forces in the region.

The session showed that, despite the persistent U.S. lies, the war on drug trafficking is an unfounded pretext to justify aggression against a sovereign nation, overthrow a legitimate government, and take over Venezuela's oil and other resources, he said.

The Foreign Minister called on the United States to stop this aggression, to stop manipulating terrorism as a political weapon, and to put an end to double standards.

Likewise, before the UN, the island described the imperialist maneuvers—which include acts of piracy and maritime terrorism in international waters of the Caribbean Sea—as "irresponsible and unprecedented."

Through its permanent representative, Ernesto Soberón Guzmán, Cuba condemned the "arbitrary and politically motivated" decision by the United States to designate the Bolivarian government as a foreign terrorist organization and demanded respect for Venezuela's sovereignty, independence, and right to freely decide its destiny without external interference.
