A multifaceted, unconventional war is being waged against Cuba in all its diversity and scope. The central axis of this confrontation strategy is cognitive warfare, which uses predictive and generative artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance classic manipulation techniques and achieve mental control over the population.
This digital "ammunition" seeks to fracture the social fabric and erode trust in institutions, synchronizing the economic blockade with an unstoppable digital offensive.
The key points of this offensive are: mass personalization with AI, used to micro-segment audiences and create specific narratives for each demographic group; Using generative AI, hyper-realistic deepfakes are created and conversations are simulated that appear to be between ordinary citizens, in order to amplify the feeling of chaos.
Furthermore, classic manipulation techniques are being enhanced, allowing for the precise application of framing, agenda setting, and gaslighting, but now with unprecedented speed and efficiency.
The goal is to fabricate an agenda that dictates what is discussed and what is not, imposing an agenda of crisis, chaos, and imminent collapse, focusing public debate on instability.
The central objective is not to convince people of a lie, but to sow doubt so that the victim distrusts their own perceptions and the government, thus undermining resistance.
Predictive AI analyzes sentiment on social media to detect peaks of emotional exhaustion and activate amplification campaigns during moments of greatest vulnerability, while algorithms amplify the noise of these campaigns, creating a parallel reality that distorts collective perception.
Thousands of versions of the same lie are created, adapted to the vocabulary and frustrations of each group to make the framing more effective. In this way, AI becomes a force multiplier for the strategy designed to psychologically break the population from within.
In this context, bots have evolved from simple programs into swarms of AI that are the enforcement arm of cognitive warfare. They no longer simply repeat messages, but interact, adapt, and evolve to create the illusion of a synthetic consensus, which is far more dangerous than a single piece of fake news.
Meanwhile, the platforms we commonly use work in a coordinated manner. For example, WhatsApp and Telegram act as a coordinating center, while Facebook, Instagram, and others are used to give viral emotional reach to the narratives.
Ultimately, cross-platform coordination is not simply an aggregation of actions, but an intelligent and adaptive system that transforms cognitive warfare into a precision weapon.
