Celebrated August 21 was the historic unity and shared work of the country’s largest mass organization – the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) – and the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), during an event held to honor women who serve on the CDR National Executive Secretariat, held at the organization’s museum in Havana.
Carlos Rafael Miranda, national CDR coordinator presented Teresa Amarelle Boué, FMC secretary general, with a certificate and congratulated all members of the organization, saying, “Some 65% of CDR cadres, and 50% de our community leaders, are women.”
“The most revolutionary thing we can do in these times is ensure that all organizations in the community come together in an effort to win the collective battle to perfect our society,” said Teresa Amarelle, as she expressed her gratitude for the recognition.
