
President of the National Assembly Esteban Lazo Hernández emphasized the extraordinary circumstances during which the body was meeting, reiterating the joy felt by all Cubans upon the return of Gerardo, Ramón and Antonio.
The National Assembly’s approximately 600 deputies, representing the country’s 168 municipalities, reviewed and approved the 2015 State Budget and Economic Plan, - which projects a growth rate of 4% - as well as a declaration expressing their gratitude to parliamentarians around the world who have supported the cause of the Cuban Five.

President Raúl Castro closed the final session reiterating that Cuba will continue its struggle to defend and perfect the Revolution, and will never renounce the ideas for which it has stood for over 55 years, and for which the people have shed blood and faced great dangers.
