Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, received former Spanish Prime Minister, His Excellency José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, who is on a visit to the country this Wednesday, February 25.
During the cordial meeting, issues of mutual interest regarding the regional and international agenda were discussed, as well as the historic relations that bind the two nations.
Zapatero was accompanied by Miguel Ángel Moratinos Cuyaubé, former Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs. On the Cuban side, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs was present.
Zapatero was previously received by the Cuban Foreign Minister and Acting Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Antonio Carricarte Corona.
