With relation to the press release of February 20, the Cuban Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) informs that a direct telephone connection between the U.S. and Cuba, initially for international voice calls, has been established, in accordance with the services agreement signed between the Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba S.A., ETECSA and U.S. company IDT Domestic Telecom, Inc.
The restoration of direct telecommunications between the U.S. and Cuba will provide improved services and better quality communication between the people of both nations.
