The Republic of Cuba’s Council of State, as proposed by its President, is honored to award the José Martí Order to President Truong Tan Sang for the friendship and solidarity he has shown our people, and his wise leadership in the construction of socialism in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
We recognize, President Truong Tan Sang, your tireless revolutionary work and significant contributions to Vietnam’s economic development.
This acknowledgement additionally symbolizes a history of sisterhood which has been strengthened over the years, and represents our common cause in struggle with a similar objective: the construction of socialism and improving our peoples’ wellbeing.
Comrade Truong Tan Sang, accept this decoration from our homeland, with the gratitude and affection of all Cubans, for you and the noble, generous people of Vietnam.
