
During the friendly encounter both leaders discussed the current state of bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations, as well as their shared interest in continuing to develop said ties. They likewise addressed other topics on the international agenda, in particular those related to the negative impact of climate change on small island developing states.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by the honorable Aaron Cook, minister of Trade, Industry and Environment; and the honorable Milton Dube, a member of parliament.
Participating on the Cuban side were Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, minister of Foreign Trade and Investment and Marcelino Medina, interim minister of Foreign Relations.
