The 10th National Internal Control Audit will review the implementation, development and impact of decentralization initiatives across approved state entities.
The 10th National Internal Control Audit (X CNCI) will take place throughout the country, November 2-December 11.
The inspection is organized and carried out by the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR) and National Audit Authority (SNA). All Administrative departments will receive advanced notification in regards to the auditing process, approved last year in Control Directorate meetings.
This edition of the CNCI will involve CGR and SNA auditors, experts from various institutions (the National Office of Standardization, National Labor Inspection Authority, Ministry of Public Health Medical Technicians, state and financial inspectors from the Ministry of Construction) as well as professors and students from all of the country’s universities. Accounting and Finance undergraduates, as well as those studying Industrial Engineering, Computer Sciences, Law and Sociology, among other courses, will be taking part in the process.
The aim of the CNCI is to assess the effectiveness of internal control mechanisms through coordinated auditing actions carried out in accordance with the policies and norms approved for priority objectives linked to the implementation of the Economic and Social Policy Guidelines approved by the 6th Party Congress and the objectives outlined in its first National Conference.
The audit will focus on three key areas: the development and impact of the decentralization of approved state entities; fulfillment of measures outlined in the plan of action on population aging, and the granting of subsidies to citizens to purchase construction materials.
Some 390 audits will be carried out including inspections, special assessments and checks.
The national auditing process is a preventative and educative activity which helps foster a culture of administrative order, discipline and high expectations. Its ultimate aim is to contribute to creating efficient managerial systems which benefit the population. (SE)
