On November 11, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers received compañeros Marco Enríquez-Ominami and Pedro Abarca, president and secretary general of the Progressive Party of Chile, respectively, on an official visit to the country.
During the fraternal encounter, the leaders discussed the positive state of relations between the two nations, the current regional situation, advances being made in the processes of Latin American and Caribbean integration, as well as other items on the international agenda.
Participating on the Cuban side were members of the PCC Central Committee Political Bureau, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, first vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers, and minister of Foreign Relations, respectively; and member of the PCC Central Committee Secretariat and head of its International Relations department, José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera
