Hanoi.— On November 24, the Cuban state enterprise HeberBiotec S.A. signed an agreement with Vietnamese company Duc Minh Medical J.S.C., affiliated with the AMV Group, to export seven products worth $3.2 million dollars to Vietnam next year.

According to PL, under the agreement, Cuba will export Heberbiovac HB 10 micrograms (mcg), to treat hepatitis B in newborns and children under 10; as well as Heberbiovav HB 20 mcg (for adults), quimi-hip (combined medication against type b Haemophilus influenzae), Heberon Alfa R (human recombinant alpha 2b interpheron), PEG-Heberon (pegylated interpheron), Heberitro (Erythropoietin-alpha Human Recombinant) and Hebervital (human G-CSF).

The new amount represents a 30% as compared to 2015, noted Mai Thao, sales director of HeberBiotec S.A., which is responsible for marketing products and projects developed by the island’s Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Center (CIGB).

Thao also added that the entity registered $2.4 million dollars in sales this year as compared to the $2.2 million dollars expected this year, noting that in over 15 years of joint collaboration, all plans have been achieved.
