Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, this morning, February 13, paid tribute to unknown Soviet internationalist soldiers, at the Havana monument which honors all those who offered Cuba their solidarity. His holiness placed a floral wreath at the site.
Accompanying the patriarch were Caridad Diego Bello, head of the Party Central Committee’s religious affairs office; and Mijaíl Kaminin, ambassador from the Russian Federation in Cuba; in addition to other diplomats and religious authorities.
This afternoon, the Patriarch is scheduled to visit the Solidarity with Panama school for special needs students, where he will deliver a donation of wheel chairs for the children there.
