
This morning, February 13, Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church, visited the Solidarity with Panama school for special needs students in Havana, where he delivered a donation of wheel chairs, other school supplies, and equipment for the children.
Accompanied by Caridad Diego Bello, head of the Party Central Committee’s religious affairs office, and Ambassador Mijaíl Kaminin, from the Russian Federation, the religious leader toured the educational center’s facilities. Patriarch Kirill conversed with students and teachers, thanking them for the opportunity to visit the unique school which was founded in 1989 by Comandante en Jefe Fidel Castro, to offer expert attention to children with physical and motor disabilities.
