On February 23, a technical meeting between Cuban and U.S. officials in charge of cyber security matters, ended in Havana. During the encounter the two parties discussed ways to expand current collaboration efforts in this area. The meeting took place in a respectful and professional climate.
The Cuban delegation included representatives from the Ministries of the Interior and Foreign Relations, while participating on the U.S. side were representatives from the Departments of Homeland Security, Justice and State.
Both delegations agreed on the importance of advancing cooperation efforts and establishing bilateral agreements in this area, while also noting that alternate technical meetings will continue to be held in Cuba and the U.S.
