On the afternoon of March 10, Cuban Minister of Foreign Relations Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, held a meeting with the honorable Susana Malcorra, minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of the Republic of Argentina, making an official work visit to the country to participate in the Colombia Peace Talks.
On welcoming the distinguished visitor, the Cuban Minister thanked Argentina for its historic support of the resolution to end the blockade, presented by Cuba before the UN, and reiterated the island’s solidarity with the Argentine government and people in their fair claim of sovereignty over the Malvinas, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.
During the meeting, both ministers reviewed the state of bilateral relations and addressed other topics of interest on the international and regional agendas.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Tomás Martín Giudichi, Luis Eugenio Bellando and Fernando Flores, personal assistant to the minister, minister counsellor chargé d'affaires a.i and consul at the Argentine Embassy in Cuba, respectively.
Participating on the Cuban side were compañeros Manuel Aguilera de la Paz, director general for Latin America and the Caribbean; Pedro Núñez Mosquera, director general of Multi-lateral Affairs and International Law; and Pedro Pablo Prada Quintero, director for South America, as well as other ministry officials.
