
Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, received compañera Delcy Eloína Rodríguez Gómez, vice president for Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, on the afternoon of Friday, March 11.
During the friendly meeting, they exchanged views on the excellent relations between the two countries, and reaffirmed their willingness to continue to strengthen these. The Army General reiterated Cuba’s demand that Executive Order 13692 be revoked, and reaffirmed the full support of our people to the sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the government of President Nicolás Maduro and the civic-military union fighting to maintain peace, constitutional order, and the conquests of the Revolution. They also discussed various issues on the regional and international agenda.
Previously, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister held a meeting with the ministers of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and Investment, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla and Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, respectively, with whom she evaluated the bilateral agenda to strengthen political relations, and reviewed the implementation of the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement between Cuba and Venezuela, in particular new proposals for cooperation and trade between the two countries.
Participating on the Cuban side were Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla and Cuban Ambassador to Venezuela Rogelio Polanco Fuentes.
