The opportunity to capture the beauty of Cuba’s well preserved seabed will be the main attraction of the sixth edition of the International Underwater Photography Competition (IMASUB-2016).

The event will take place at its customary site of the María La Gorda International Scuba Diving Center, located in the Guanahacabibes National Park, Pinar del Río province, from June 6-11 with the participation of renowned Cuban and international underwater photographers.
The competition will give participants the opportunity to capture moments related to the area’s fauna, environment, human interaction with nature and the marine life which inhabit this singular geographical landscape.

Of the photos taken during the five day event, competitors will be able to submit a maximum of three in each category.

A jury of renowned experts will award the Grand Prize and other distinctions to winners in each group.

Famous divers and photographers from across the globe will be able to experience this celebrated and unique landscape whose crystal clear waters provide all-round visibility of up to 30 meters at a depth of 25 meters.
