The closure of 7th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba began this morning, April 19, with the leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz and Army General Raúl Castro Ruz in attendance.
After three days of debate, the final day of the meeting of Cuban Communists includes the presentation of the Central Committee elected yesterday, as well as its Secretariat, the Political Bureau, in addition to the First and Second Secretaries, all of whom were elected by the new Central Committee during its first meeting this morning.
On the 55th anniversary of the victory at Playa Girón, delegates and invitees are concluding a gathering in which they debated projections for Party work and issues of vital importance to the country’s development.
Precisely because of their transcendence, two of the documents analyzed will be submitted for discussion by members of the Party, the Young Communists League, and representatives of mass organizations.
