Jamaica is always eager to contribute to strengthening cooperation in the region, Jamaican Prime Minister, Andrew Holness, noted on arriving in Havana to attend the 7th Summit of the Association of Caribbean States.

After being received by Justice Minister María Esther Reus, Holness stated that Jamaica hopes to strengthen cooperation on key issues such as the economy, tourism and trade.

The Jamaican Prime Minister, who foresaw a successful Summit, arrived in the capital accompanied by several other leaders of the Caribbean.

Holnesswill participate in the meeting of Heads of State and/or Government, the highest level segment of the 7th ACS Summit this Saturday, June 4, where the Havana Declaration and Plan of Action 2016-2018 are scheduled to be approved.
