
José Ramón Machado Ventura, a Council of State and Ministers vice president and second secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, yesterday June 9, signed the condolences book at the Sahawari Arab Democratic Republic's embassy in Havana, on the occasion of the recent death of SADR President and secretary general of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdulaziz.
After being received by SADR Ambassador, his Excellency Malainine Etkana, José Ramón Machado Ventura expressed condolences, in the name of the Cuban people, Party and government, for the death of the SADR President; emphasized the deep feelings of brotherhood shared by the two countries; reiterated our admiration for the Sahawari people's struggle for their self-determination and independence; and Cuba's unwavering commitment to their just cause.
Accompanying the Cuban leader were José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera, member of the Central Committee Secretariat and head of its international relations department; and Marcelino Medina González, interim Foreign Minister.
