The head of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Maria Contreras-Sweet is on a working visit to Cuba June 20-21.
According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Contreras-Sweet will visit the Special Development Zone in Mariel and meet with Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Rodrigo Malmierca, as well as officials at the Domestic Commerce and Social Security ministries.
The U.S. official came to Cuba last March accompanying President Barack Obama on his visit.
Contreras-sweet heads the SBA since April, as a member of Obama's cabinet. The entity offers support to some 28 million small businesses in the United States, which employ half the workforce in the private sector.
