Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, a vice president of the Council of Ministers, received Elsa Maria Kristine Erlandsson Juarez, chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden in Cuba, on Thursday, June 30.
During the meeting, an Agreement on the Restructuring of Debt between the Government of the Republic of Cuba and the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden was signed, as part of the process of implementing the Multilateral Agreement signed by the Paris Club Ad-Hoc Group of creditor nations and Cuba.
Both sides stressed the importance of this agreement for the development of economic, trade and financial exchanges between the island and Sweden.
The Charge d'Affaires was accompanied by the Third Secretary of the mission, Tove Maria Silveira Wennergren.
Representing Cuba were Amelia Morales Domínguez, deputy minister of Economy and Planning; Isaac Hernández, director of External Debt of the Central Bank of Cuba, and Manuel Pírez Pérez, director of International Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among other officials.
