The 27th Pastors for Peace Caravan composed of 41 Cuban solidarity activists, will arrive on the island today, Monday, July 18.

The delegation, led by executive director of Pastors for Peace, Gail Walker, daughter of the late Reverend Lucius Walker, founder of the initiative in 1992, includes citizens from the U.S., Mexico and Europe.
Speaking to Prensa Latina, Walker noted that although a process toward normalizing relations between Cuba and the U.S. is currently underway, the fight to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade against the island continues.
She expressed her love and respect for the Cuban Revolution, which prioritizes the needs of the people.
Walker also noted that the delegation will bring medicines with them to Havana, and commented on the group’s concerted efforts to inform diverse communities in Mexico - where the Caravan has been based over recent days - about the impact of the blockade on Cuba.
