Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, today July 26, in the province of Sancti Spíritus, presides the principal commemoration of the 63rd anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Garrisons.
In Serafín Sánchez García Plaza de la Revolución, in the central province, a representation of the people, along with veterans of the historic assaults on July 26, 1953, and the Granma landing of December 2, 1956, are attending the event.
The central remarks are being presented by Second Party Secretary
José Ramón Machado Ventura, with members of the Political Bureau and provincial Party and government authorities on hand. Sancti Spíritus is hosting the national celebration for the first time on 30 years.
