
Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, received the Honorable Philippe Couillard, Premier of the Canadian province of Quebec, this Tuesday, September 13, during an official visit to the island.
In a cordial atmosphere, the two leaders discussed the good state of relations between Cuba and Quebec, as well as prospects for their development. They also agreed on the willingness to broaden ties in the economic and commercial spheres.
Accompanying the distinguished visitor were Patrick Parisot, Canadian ambassador to Cuba, and Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor Johanne Whittom.
Representing Cuba were Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, a vice president of the Council of Ministers, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla and Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra Díaz.
Premier Couillard also met with compañeros Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz and Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla prior to the meeting with the Cuban President.
