Salvador Valdés Mesa, a vice president of the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba, received this Sunday, December 4, in the city of Santiago de Cuba, the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Mulatu Teshome; President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou-Nguesso; and the Vice President of the Republic of Angola, Manuel Vicente; who headed the delegations of their respective countries to participate in the funeral honors of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Comandante en Jefe Fidel Castro Ruz.
On behalf of the Cuban government and people, the Cuban vice president thanked the leaders and their delegations for their presence on the island to attend the posthumous tribute to Fidel. They also exchanged views on bilateral relations and other international issues.
