The President of Cuba’s Councils of State and of Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, on Monday morning received the secretary general of the Front for the Liberation of Mozambique (Frelimo), Roque Silva Samuel, who is visiting our country as head of a party delegation.
During the cordial meeting, the positive progress of bilateral relations and perspectives for their strengthening was discussed. Díaz-Canel conveyed his best wishes to the government and people of Mozambique, immersed in recovery from damage caused by Hurricane Idai. Silva Samuel expressed his gratitude, once again, for Cuba’s  cooperation.
Accompanying the distinguished visitor were Chakil Aboobacar, member of Frelimo’s Central Committee Secretariat for Foreign Affairs, and Eliseu Joaquim Machava, Mozambique’s ambassador in Cuba.
Participating on the Cuban side were Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Juan Carlos Marsán Aguilera, deputy chief of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee’s International Relations Department.
