The Secretariat of the Party Central Committee is making a visit to the province of Sancti Spiritus, to review implementation of agreements, ideas and guidelines adopted at the organization’s 8th Congress, in April of 2021, where the work of local branches was a central topic debated.
Be it in the foothills of the Escambray or a World Heritage city like Trinidad, the Party is in the vanguard, leading all of the country’s political, social and economic efforts, among and with the people - a reality made clear during a visit by the delegation, including Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo, to the communities of Jíquimas de Alfonso and La Sierpe.
Felix Duarte Ortega and Joel Queipo Ruiz, both members of the Secretariat and heads of the Production and Economic Departments, respectively, toured the Sur del Jíbaro Agroindustrial Enterprise, in the municipality of Trinidad, along with local Party staff.
According to the Escambray newspaper, Queipo Ruiz conversed with management and workers at the food processing plant, in the municipality of La Sierpe, where he referred to the impact that the enterprise has in the community.
At the University of Medical Sciences in Sancti Spíritus, Joel Suárez, deputy director of the Party’s Ideological Department, noted how much young Cubans can help teachers in navigating social networks and the use of new technologies, commenting, "That is why we came to hear about your experience of Sancti Spíritus."
The delegation is touring more than 25 communities in the province and interacting with municipal Party bodies, the Union of Young Communists (UJC), the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) and Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), as well as the leadership of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power.
