The leader of the Cuban Revolution, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, and the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, attended the start of the 2023 Baraguá Strategic Exercise at the headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior onNovember 16.
During the session, they were informed about the preparation the country is carrying out to guarantee defense, state security and internal order, with a high level of training of the forces and modernization of technology.
This exercise ran until Friday 17, with the aim of consolidating the training and cohesion of the leadership and command structures of the Ministry of Interior and the Revolutionary Armed Forces, in close liaison with our people.
Also participating in the activity were Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister; Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Party Organization; Army Corps General Álvaro López Miera, Minister of the Far; Major General Lázaro Álvarez Casas, Minister of the Interior, and Brigadier General José Amado Ricardo Guerra, Secretary of the Council of Ministers, all members of the Political Bureau, as well as senior officials of the Ministry of the Interior.
