In the presence of more than 200 guests from 28 nations from four continents at the Pabexpo fairgrounds, the president of the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC), Ricardo Ronquillo Bello, said that "if there is any lesson that Marti's Patria bequeathed to us, it is that the Revolution must be communicated".
Thus, with an eye on the challenges of political communication in the digital space, the 3rd Patria Colloquium was inaugurated on Monday in Havana.
"We can be united, however, disjointed, which can mean defeated", he said, reflecting on the role of the Colloquium in the importance of articulating the different national and international actors. Together," he added, "we need to be technologically up to date.

The UPEC President stressed that the successes of Telesur, Al Mayadeen, Russia Today, Prensa Latina, among other projects, reveal that it is possible to oppose a communicational multipolarity to the still prevailing dictatorial one.
For this, he mentioned, the debates must leap from denunciation and analysis to concerted and consequent action. "Let us articulate ourselves, martially, for the idea of the good of our peoples," he said.
The inaugural conference had the seal of Abel Prieto, leader of Casa de las Americas, and the presence of the members of the Political Bureau, Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee, and Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
