Santiago de Cuba took to the streets, but with the Revolution and with Diaz-Canel.
The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic arrived in the Santiago municipality of Songo la Maya, after visiting the territory of El Salvador, in neighboring Guantanamo, yesterday, to the sound of conga music.
To the sound of the conga they welcomed the Head of State. What will the haters invent now? In the two localities, as has been the case since last January, Diaz-Canel, accompanied by the member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee, Roberto Morales Ojeda, reviews in situ, the local problems that most affect the population and how measures are implemented to correct distortions and boost the economy.
The two localities where the Party's leadership was present are eminently agricultural, hence the great responsibility it has with the people. A mini-industry, the Mountain Development Center and a Coffee Processing Mill were visited by Diaz-Canel and Morales Ojeda in the Guantanamo municipality.
Meanwhile, in the heart of La Maya, at the intersection of José Martí and 24 de Febrero parks, the people showered their President with affection and loyalty. In spite of all the difficulties we are living today, the people of Santiago came out to give their unequaled show of loyalty to the Revolution.
Before the emotions that come in each image, and those that were lived in the hot land and cradle of his revolutionary work, it resounds, from the chests: This is Cuba! This is your Revolution! and the singer Manuel Navarro Luna from Manzanillo speaks to us again: It is Santiago de Cuba. Do not be surprised at all!
