All the support that the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) has provided to Cuba in terms of training, "to be able to face the challenges we have in terms of the country's energy transformation", was recognized by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, when he received Andrés Rebolledo Sitmans, executive secretary of OLADE.
In the meeting, which was also attended by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O Levy, the Head of State expressed the willingness of the Cuban energy sector to participate in any of the proposals and projects that OLADE carries out in the region.

"We know that you are working on the issue of digital transformation in Latin America and the Caribbean, also in the development of renewable energy sources. From our modest position, you can count on Cuba for everything you want to do," the president stressed.
The OLADE Executive Secretary described the dialogue as a great opportunity, as well as the celebration in Havana of the 61st ordinary session of the Board of Experts of the cooperation, coordination and technical advisory body he heads.

Rebolledo Sitmans expressed to Díaz-Canel the satisfaction of attracting, for this meeting, 25 delegations from the 27 countries that make up OLADE. The truth -he considered- is that it has been a very outstanding meeting, with a lot of participation, with many desires to continue cooperating among us and to advance in energy integration.
The 61st ordinary session of the Board of Experts, which will be held in Havana until today, is the prelude to the Meeting of Energy Ministers of Latin America and the Caribbean, to be held in October in Paraguay.
