
Mayarí Arriba, Santiago de Cuba. -The people of the mountains where the Second Front Frank País García operated commemorated the 67th anniversary of its founding, by then Commander Raúl Castro Ruz. There was the first Colonel Alberto Vázquez García, one of the guerrillas who formed the nucleus that gave rise to the so-called "revolutionary State within another State."
In the Mausoleum that treasures the remains of the fighters of the Front were placed floral offerings on behalf of Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, leader of the Cuban Revolution; the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez; the president of the National Assembly and the Council of State, Esteban Lazo Hernández, and one on behalf of the people of Cuba.
There was also a bouquet of flowers to the Heroine of the Sierra and the Plain, Vilma Espín Guillois, in a ceremony led by members of the Central Committee, Beatriz Johnson Urrutia, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Santiago de Cuba, and Major General Eugenio Rabilero Aguilera, chief of the Eastern Army, accompanied by other political and government authorities, social and mass organizations, combatants, and the people of these historic mountains.
From this place, the achievements of the territory in a year of effort and victory were highlighted, and the masses were summoned to continue strengthening the conquests of the Revolution, of which it is the protagonist.
