
The President of the National Assembly of People's Power, Esteban Lazo Hernández, in use of the powers conferred upon him by Article 111, paragraph c) of the Constitution of the Republic, convened the Fifth Ordinary Period of Sessions of this body, in its 10th Legislature, starting at 9:00 a.m. on July 16 of this year, at the Havana Convention Palace.
The call, published on June 23 on the Cuban Parliament's website, will be disseminated to the deputies, the agencies of the Central State Administration and other corresponding bodies and authorities, as well as published in the Official Gazette of the Republic and other media for general knowledge.
The agenda of the plenary session for the debate by the supreme organ of State power includes the evaluation of the compliance and impact of the measures of the Government Program to correct distortions and re-drive the economy, the information on the progress of the economy at the close of the first semester of the year 2025, and the update on the execution of the State Budget for 2025 and the liquidation of the Budget for the year 2024.
In addition, other processes will take place, such as the rendering of accounts of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (Inder, for its Spanish equivalent) and the Provincial Government of People's Power of Camagüey, and the report on the exercise of the highest supervision of the Ministry of Transportation; as well as the analysis and discussion of several bills; among other topics of interest.
Previously, on July 14 and 15, the meetings of the permanent working commissions of the Cuban legislature will be held, where more than 80 issues of the national agenda, which have a direct impact on the population, will be analyzed.
