On the second day of work of the 5th Ordinary Period of Sessions of the National Assembly of People's Power in its 10th Legislature, with the presence of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, the progress of the implementation of the Government Program for the recovery of the National Electric System was reported.

In this regard, Vicente de la O Levy, Minister of Energy and Mines, acknowledged that, although the execution of the program has been consistent with what was planned, "the fuel deficit continues to be the main cause of blackouts, hence it has not been possible to achieve the projected reduction for the summer and, in that sense, work is being done for a definitive solution".

In fact, yesterday was a really complex day for generation, especially in the country's capital city, where there were blackouts that caused units to go out of service and the unavailability of electric substations, according to the city's Electric Company.

The Minister ratified that in order to revert the complex situation of the System, they are clear about how to move forward, where to put every resource and every effort to obtain the best result in the shortest possible time.

Yesterday, the Foreign Policy Guidelines for the period 2025-2028 were presented to the deputies and, in this regard, the member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, said that "for Cuban foreign policy it is very important to seek financial relations and international cooperation that allow the development of the economy of our country".

Today, the Provincial Government of the People's Power of Camagüey is expected to render its accounts. In addition, the bills on the Cuban Sports System, the Code of Children, Adolescents and Youth and the Civil Registry will be analyzed and submitted for approval.

The ratification of decrees laws and agreements of the Council of State will be carried out; the Provincial Government and the agency that will render account in December 2025 before the ANPP will be approved, as well as the ministry that will be subject to the highest supervision.
