Conceived as a strategic space for political dialogue, for the exchange of experiences between Cuba and Brazil, and for building synergies that strengthen the alliance between the countries in the area of South-South cooperation, the High-Level Meeting on Social Protection, Food Sovereignty, and Food and Nutritional Security Policies between the two nations will take place today and tomorrow.

This meeting reinforces the priority given by the Cuban State and Government to the management of financial, technological, and material resources through international projects to strengthen the country's productive capacities, increase food production, and reduce its dependence on imports, in which Brazil can be a great ally.

According to the organizers, the event will be attended by senior government representatives from both nations, and among the topics to be discussed are policies, programs, and management of national social protection systems and food and nutritional sovereignty and security, as well as strengthening agri-food systems with an emphasis on family farming and sustainable consumption.
