Cuba Socialista, the theoretical and political magazine of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, brings its readers the special issue 2024-2025 and shares inspiration with the Third Edition of the International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Leftist Parties and Movements, an event currently being held in Havana.
The commemorations for the centenary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, which will be celebrated in 2026, and whose Commemorative Program was presented on August 13, 2025, in Birán, the birthplace of the Historic Leader of the Cuban Revolution, are part of the highlights of this new edition of the publication.
Hence, its pages include the speech given by Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of Organization of the Party's Central Committee, on the occasion of the official presentation of the Program.
The texts also pay tribute to the founders of the first Communist Party of Cuba in its centenary year, and include some of the speeches from the Second International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Left-wing Parties and Movements.
Cuba Socialista's proposal includes the report and closing remarks of that event, delivered by Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, as evidence of the depth of the debate, the positions of principle adopted at the meeting, and the proposals made, according to the opening words of this special issue.
This magazine dedicates a space to solidarity with the Palestinian people, which was made clear by more than 100,000 Havana residents—on behalf of the Cuban people—on October 9th, when they raised their voices to denounce the extermination operation that the State of Israel is carrying out in the Gaza Strip. Its dossier also recalls the centenary of the physical disappearance of the leader of the First Socialist Revolution of Humanity: Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.
With this issue, the theoretical and political magazine of the Party's Central Committee begins the celebrations for its 65th anniversary, which will be commemorated in 2026, the year in which the 9th Congress of the political organization and the ever-inspiring centenary of Fidel will take place.
