OFFICIAL VOICE OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF CUBA CENTRAL COMMITTEE

'"Strengthening cooperation between Cuban and Chinese institutions in the study of the history of both countries, their revolutions and their Communist Parties, is the main objective of our visit," expressed comrade Li Zongyuan, director general of the Museum of History of the Communist Party of China, to the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.

The president, accompanied by the member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee, Roberto Morales Ojeda, received on Tuesday morning, at the Palace of the Revolution, Li Zongyuan and the delegation accompanying him, as part of the continuity of their meetings in China, when Díaz-Canel toured and got to know in detail the exhibition of an institution whose creation was the idea of the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and president of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping.

"The cornerstone of relations between Cuba and China are interparty ties, and the strength of these ties is that both countries are building a community with a shared future," said Díaz-Canel as he welcomed the delegation from the sister country.

We attach great importance to the partisan exchanges between both organizations, with visits that are a systematic practice in our relations, said the Head of State, stressing the importance of comrade Li Zongyuan participating in the 1st Granma-Rebelde International Festival.

Díaz-Canel pondered the links between the CPC Museum and the PCC, while thanking director Li for the attention he gave him during his tour of the institution.

In the Museum -commented Díaz-Canel- we were able to deepen our knowledge about the history of China, the vanguard role of the Communist Party of China in the life of that country, in society and in the new significance, scope and results of the Reform Process.

The process of Chinese Reform, reflected the First Secretary of the PCC, is a reference on what to do in Cuba to face the difficulties that we live due to the blockade.

In Shenzhen, Díaz-Canel told Li Zongyuan, the visit to the Museum of the Communist Party of China, in Beijing, and then to the Reform Museum, "«clarified me a lot about the support and thought of the Reformation and about the role of the Communist Party of China in the Reformation, and appreciate once again the leadership of the general secretary and president Xi Jinping, our friend."

After thanking the Cuban President for receiving him in the midst of his very busy work schedule, Li recalled Díaz-Canel’s stay in China last September, to participate in the commemorations for the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

The director of the CPC Museum recalled the visit and the important assessment made by the Cuban president on the exhibition, which -he emphasized- «has encouraged us to work much better».

Li pointed out that this year is celebrating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and China, and mentioned the exchange of congratulatory letters between Presidents Xi Jinping and Diaz-Canel, which has encouraged, he said, to continue developing the community of shared future between both nations.

Our museum, said Li Zongyuan, is a public institution to preserve the history of the Communist Party of China, and we also share the responsibility for consolidating relations between our two countries.

About his stay in the largest of the Antilles, he explained that this is the first visit of a delegation of the Museum abroad, and was Cuba the first country that was chosen to carry it out.

The meeting between the Cuban President and the Director of the CPC’s History Museum was also attended by comrades Hua Xin, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Cuba, and Chen Yuhe, Deputy General Director of the Museum, among other directors of the institution.

On the Cuban side, the members of the Central Committee, Emilio Lozada García, head of the Department of International Relations, and Yuniasky Crespo Baquero, head of the Ideological Department, attended, among other officials of the organization.
