The President of the National Assembly of People's Power, Esteban Lazo Hernández, exercising the powers conferred upon him by Article 111, paragraph c) of the Constitution of the Republic, has convened the 6th Ordinary Session of this body, in its 10th Legislature, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on December 18 of this year, at the Convention Center in Havana.
The announcement, published on November 26 on the Cuban Parliament's website, will be disseminated to deputies, Central State Administration agencies, and other relevant bodies and authorities, as well as published in the Official Gazette of the Republic and other media outlets for general knowledge.
The agenda for the plenary session for debate by the supreme body of state power includes the evaluation of the compliance and impact of the measures of the Government Program to correct distortions and boost the economy, the presentation of the objectives and goals of the economy for next year, and the analysis and discussion of the draft law "On the State Budget for the year 2026."
In addition, other processes will take place, such as the accountability of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Environment, and the Provincial Government of the People's Power of Ciego de Ávila; and the report on the exercise of the highest oversight of the Ministry of Justice; as well as the analysis and discussion of bills, among other topics of interest.
Previously, on December 15, 16, and 17, meetings of the permanent working committees of the Cuban legislature will be held, in which more than 90 issues on the national agenda that directly impact the population will be analyzed.
