Yesterday, New York soccer team Cosmos, led by global soccer legend, Pelé, arrived on the island to play a friendly match against the Cuban team.
Marcos Senna - part of Spain’s Euro 2008 winning squad, and Cosmos team member, together with famous former Real Madrid forward, Raúl González Blanco - stated that he was curious to learn the about the Cuban reality.
The friendly will be held on Tuesday, June 2, from 5:12pm, at the Pedro Marrero stadium, and will be the Cuba team’s final practice game before their world cup qualifier against Curacao and the Gold Cup tournament taking place in various cities across the U.S.
