The 57th National Series of Baseball semifinals will end tonight, January 17, with the seventh game between Havana's Industriales and Las Tunas, in the latter's home town. The province's team is making its first appearance in the semi-finals, facing off against one of the league's perennial leaders. The teams are tied 3-3, after six close games.
Granma and Matanzas were the other semi-finalists, who played just five games, with last year's champions, the Sorrels from Granma, quickly taking control 4-1, after losing the first game.
Despite rain and cold weather that led to earlier games being cancelled, the stadiums are full and hearts are hanging on the last out, the last inning.
