With 11 games played in the Asobal League season, the first division of Spanish handball, the teams which include four Cubans athletes are placed in the second level of the league’s rankings.

The BM Benidorm club, with right wings Jorge Luis Pabán and Ángel Jesús Rivero, rose from the 16th to the 12th position among 18 competing teams. The team has earned four points in seven games, with one victory, two draws and four losses. Thus far, Pabán and Rivero have contributed 13 and 15 goals, respectively.

The Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto team has fallen behind in the rankings, as they only have played once since the seventh date. Currently with one victory, one draw and three setbacks, for a total of three points, the team is ranked in 14th place. Guillermo Corzo, a left back, has accumulated 15 scores for the Valencian club.

With two games two pending, Quabit Guadalajara has climbed from the 16th to the 14th position on the chart, having accumulated two victories, a draw and six losses, which represents five points. Dariel García, a left-winger from Santiago de Cuba, has scored goals on 26 occasions.

Barcelona continues to lead the league, undefeated in its nine games (18 points), followed by Bidasoa Irun (14), and Fraikin BM Granollers and Recoletas Atlético Valladolid, with 12 points each.
