The Encounter on International Humanitarian Law and its importance in the hemisphere, organized by the International Red Cross Committee Regional Delegation for Mexico, Central America and Cuba, and the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, began today, June 23, in Havana.
Over two days, around thirty senior officials and representatives from Bolivia, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Ecuador, Cuba and the Regional Delegation will discuss the problems and challenges facing the region in the sphere of International Humanitarian Law.
Scheduled as part of the event program are speeches by representatives of each one of the participating countries on their experiences and tools for the integration of International Humanitarian Law in the hemisphere.
